Dr. Anterpreet Arora completed her MBBS in 1991 and her MS in Anatomy in 1999 from GMC, Amritsar. She then joined the Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Amritsar, where she currently serves as the Professor and Head of the Anatomy Department.

She has a passion for research. Her active interest in research is evident from 75 publications in International and National indexed prestigious journals. She is a member of editorial board of International and National indexed journals.

She has given her valuable contribution in revising the text and illustrations in the text books of her subject and has got certificate of appreciation also.

Her journey and her contributions to Anatomy have been acclaimed by Rotary District Amritsar West Punjab and she has been honoured NATION BUILDERS AWARD  2024 for her valuable contribution to nation building as an Anatomy teacher on Teacher’s Day on 5th September 2024.

She has attended many National/ International Conferences and has chaired various scientific sessions.

She is a Life Member of the Society of Clinical Anatomy (SOCA), Anatomical Society of India (ASI) and North States chapter of ASI.

She has been appointed as external examiner in many undergraduate and postgraduate Examinations, has guided and guiding many MS and PhD students as supervisor in their Dissertation.

She was Organizing Secretary and in the organising team in the conferences of NSCASI and SOCA hosted in SGRDIMSAR Amritsar. She has been the Executive member of NSCASI.

She is the coordinator of NAAC team and in charge of IQAC criteria 1 for NAAC SGRDUHS.

She is one of the core organizers of cultural mega- event ‘Resonance’ since its inception in 2012.

She has been the member of SGRD University UG Board of Studies.

Dr Anupama  Mahajan  did her MBBS  in 1990  and MS Anatomy in 1997 from Government Medical College, Amritsar. She joined sgrduhs in 1998 .

She has been appointed as external examiner in many undergraduate and postgraduate Examinations, has guided many MS and PhD students and presently is the supervisor of  four  candidates pursuing PhD in Anatomy.

She has participated as guest speaker, chairperson, panelist and resource person in more than 50 conferences.She successfully hosted conferences of NSCASI (Organizing Chairperson) and SOCA (Organizing Secretary). She has been the president of NSCASI (North State Chapter of Anatomical Society of India) in 2015-16. Presently she is Executive member of SOCA. She has 41 International and 21 National Publications in indexed journals. She contributed a chapter entitled ‘Those who pledged and donated their dead bodies for dissection and research’ in the book  ‘Body Donation, Embalming and Related Issues’. She is on the advisory board of NJCA (National Journal of Clinical Anatomy), NSJA (North States Journal of Anatomy), and on the panel of reviewers of many national and international journals.

She is Life Member of several Societies/Associations, including Indian Medical Association, National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) ,Society of Clinical Anatomy (SOCA), Anatomical Society of India(ASI) and  North States chapter of ASI.

She is convener of ‘Synapse’ a monthly update of SGRDUHS, member of SGRD University Council, Faculty of Medical Sciences, UG Board of Studies, PhD screening committee, Application screening committee, High purchase committee, Grievances committee for students and an active member of NGO ‘phulkari’ working for women cancer education.

Dr Punita Salwan did her MBBS (1992) from Baroda Medical College, Gujarat and MS (2001) in Anatomy from Govt. Medical College, Amritsar. Presently, she is Professor of Anatomy at SGRD Medical College and Deputy Dean at SGRDUHS. She has completed Medical Education Technology courses – Basic course workshop, Revised Basic Course workshop, AETCOM and Curriculum Implementation Support Program, apart from FAIMER Fellowship in Medical Education in 2012.

She has attended more than 30 International and National Conferences and has chaired sessions. She was appointed as faculty advisor for the FAIMER fellowship program from 2012 to 2015. She is adjunct faculty of MEU (Medical Education Unit) and Curriculum sub-committee of SGRDUHS. She is the resource faculty for an online workshop of CBME-Anatomy conducted under the aegis of MEU India.

Dr Salwan has 10 publications in National and International indexed journals.  She is Life Member of Anatomical Society of India, North Chapter Anatomical Society and Society of Clinical Anatomists.

She has special interest in neuroanatomy.

Dr. Seema did her MBBS and MS Anatomy (2005) from Govt. Medical College, Amritsar. Presently, she is Professor of Anatomy at SGRD Amritsar.

She has attended more than 25 International and National Conferences. She is a reviewer of one International and National Journals and has been appointed as External Examiner in undergraduate Examinations. She has 28 International and 30 National Publications in indexed journals.

Dr. Seema is a Life Member of three anatomical societies- Anatomical society of India, Society of Clinical Anatomists, and Society of North State chapter of Anatomists

Dr. Poonam Verma did MBBS (2001) and MS (2007) in Anatomy from Government Medical College, Amritsar. Presently, she is Professor of Anatomy at sgrduhs.

She has done the Basic Course in Medical Education, Research Methodology course and a course in e-learning.

Dr. Poonam Verma has attended more than 40 National Conferences with 3 paper presentations. She has 35 International and National Publications in indexed journals. She is a Life Member of Anatomical Society of India, Society of Clinical Anatomists and North State Chapter of Society of Anatomists.

She has special interest in genetics.

Dr. Monika Lalit did her MBBS (1997) from Kuvempu University and MS (2010) in Anatomy from BFUHS. She is presently Professor of Anatomy  at SGRD. She has done PG Diploma in Maternal and Child Health (PGDMCH) and Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME). She completed an International certificate course in Principles of Bioethics and Human Rights in 2018.

She has  work experience in Blood Bank, Cardiology and Urology at PGIMS, Rohtak. She was invited as Adjunct faculty for ACME in 2019. She is a member of Bioethics unit of International network - UNESCO Chair Haifa. She is a member of the Medical Education Unit and is a faculty member in MEU workshops. She was elected as a member of National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) in 2018

Dr Lalit has 20 presentations in many conferences and chaired scientific sessions. She received a prize in one of the oral papers. She has 44 publications in National and International journals. She was a contributor to the debate on procurement and use of cadavers, published in Argentina Journal of Clinical Anatomy. She is a reviewer of 2 textbooks of Anatomy - Grant’s Dissector and Langman’s Medical Embryology, and has reviewed papers for journals. She is currently involved in 2 research projects.

She is an executive member of Society of Clinical Anatomists (SOCA) and a Life member of ASI, NSCASI, SOCA.

Dr. Kanika Sachdeva did her MBBS (2005) from sgrduhs and MS (2010) in Anatomy from Government Medical College, Amritsar. She worked as Assistant Professor in Chintpurni Medical College, Pathankot, joined sgrduhs in 2013 and is presently Professor of Anatomy.

She has completed the advanced course in Medical Education (ACME) and is a member of the Medical Education Unit of the Institute. She has also undertaken Basic and Revised Basic Training & AETCOM training and has participated as faculty in various MEU workshops. She has also completed Bioethics training, the 3T- IBHSc Training Course for Health Science Faculty. Presently she is undertaking a Basic Course in Biomedical Research.

Dr Sachdeva was a part of the organizing team of various conferences, including 10th Annual Conference of North States Chapter of Anatomical Society of India and the 5th National Conference Society of Clinical Anatomists (SOCA). She has attended around 43 conferences, presented 5 papers and chaired scientific sessions. She has 22 publications in indexed journals, of which 11 are research articles, including 18 in International and 4 in National Journals.

She is a life member of Anatomical Society of India, Society of Clinical Anatomists and North Chapter of Anatomical Society
