Department of Pathology
The Department of Pathology carries out undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. The various undergraduate programs are for BDS, MBBS, DMLT and Bsc. Nursing
On an average the clinical wing caters to 6500 patients monthly for the various investigations like haematology (Including Bone Marrow Aspiration and Biopsy), cytology and clinical pathology.
The histopathology unit caters to 4200 cases yearly and has a backup of Immunohistochemical studies which are routinely employed in cases wherever required.
The blood bank provides 5500 units of blood yearly on a regular basis (both whole and component). Through voluntary donation and blood camps 4000 units are collected yearly.
