Dr. Sangeeta Pahwa completed her MBBS (1995) from Sardar Patel Medical College Bikaner and MS (1998) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from SMS Medical College Jaipur. She was awarded first prize in paper presentation at Kota during her post graduation. Presently she is Professor of Obs and Gynae department at SGRD.

She has supervised and Co- supervised the thesis work of Obs-Gynae and Radiology postgraduate students and has also done thesis evaluation of postgraduates from other universities. She has also been appointed as external examiner in UGs and PGs examinations.

Dr Sangeeta has delivered various lectures on topics of paramount importance to public health. She chaired and panelled various sessions in Obs-Gynae , Pediatrics as well as Radiology conferences and attended various CMEs and workshops. She did training in infertility , IUI, Laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.

Among scientific presentations, her poster was awarded second prize in International Women’s Health Summit at Delhi in 2018 and was awarded first prize in poster on Importance of Genetic counselling in osteogenesis imperfecta along with genetics department in Punjab Science Congress, 2020. She has 20 International publications in indexed journals. She is lifetime member of FOGSI and international journal of gynaecological Plastic surgery.

Her special field of interest is endoscopic surgery, interventional radiology related to obs-gynae and IVF.

She has attended many national and international conferences as chairperson, speaker and delegate. She has supervised PG thesis work and has been appointed as external examiner for thesis evaluation and as UG and PG examiner.

Dr Reena Sood has attended training workshops in IUI, hysteroscopy, colposcopy and NDVH. She has 15 publications in various national and international journals.

She is a life member of IMA, BPNI and member of FOGSI.

Her fields of interest are high risk obstetrics, colposcopy and infertility.

Dr Ripan Bala did her MBBS (1986) and MD (1996) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Government Medical College, Amritsar. After serving as Medical Officer in Punjab Civil Medical Services for more than 22 years of Government service from 1989, she took premature retirement in 2011 and joined sgrduhs as Assistant Professor. Presently she is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Ripan Bala has 21 publications to her credit in various indexed National and International Journals. She is Editorial Board member of Journal of Gynaecology and Obstetrics. She is a member of the college PG Curriculum Committee and supervisor/co-supervisor of PG theses. She has attended many conferences and vast clinical experience. She was invited as one of the speakers at the 5th International Congress of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (2017) at Prague, Czech Republic.

She is life member of various scientific bodies like Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of India (FOGSI), Indian Medical Association (IMA), International Association of Gynae Plastic Surgery, Indian Society of Perinatology and Reproductive Biology (ISOPARB), Punjab Academy of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology (PAFMAT), Amritsar Medical College Alumni Association (AMCAA) and Society of Fetal Medicine.

She is presently Associate Professor of Gynaecology at SGRDIMSAR.

She did senior residency in GMC Amritsar and served Punjab Civil Medical Services for 20 years. She joined sgrduhs Amritsar in 2014 and presently is Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

She was a part of the organising team of various conferences including FOGSI - PPH Workshop, PICSEP scientific program, IMSNZ CME and IFSPCON. She was a chairperson in session in Second National PG meet - AMEICON 19 and was a judge in a Scientific Poster and Paper presentation.

Dr Preet Kamal has 11 publications in indexed National and International journals and has supervised postgraduate thesis work on various topics. She has attended more than 30 National conferences and is a member of FOGSI and Society of Fetal medicine.

Her areas of interest are clinical counselling, high risk pregnancy care, infertility evaluation and female infertility treatment.

She did DGO (1985), worked as Medical Officer in PCMS from 1987 to 1991, and topped in MD (1993) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Government Medical College, Amritsar where she worked from 1993 till retirement including 3 years in specialty STD clinic. She joined sgrduhs in 2018 and presently is Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

She was independent incharge of the Post-Partum unit of the Gynecology department in GMC, Amritsar and performed clinical and official work related to family welfare programmes. She performed more than 10,000 tubectomies and 6000 MTPs at a tertiary level hospital without any failure or complications. She conducted all National family welfare programmes very efficiently.

She has published one paper in an indexed journal and three are in progress. She attended two National FOGSI conferences and many CMEs at the State level.
