Dr Rahat Kumar did MBBS (1990) from GMC, Patiala and MD (1996) in Pharmacology from GMC Amritsar. He is presently Professor of Pharmacology at sgrduhs, Amritsar.

 He has also done Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Clinical trials research and Administration from Bioinformatics Institute of India, Noida and MBA in Hospital Administration and Pharma Marketing from Indian Institute of Pharmaceutical Marketing, Lucknow. Presently he is pursuing a Fellowship Programme in Palliative care.

 Dr Rahat has attended more than 41 National Conferences as faculty and has been Invited as Guest Speaker / Chairperson in CMEs /Conferences. He has presented papers in 8 International / National conferences and has published  28 articles in various International / National Journals.

He has been Technical Coordinator, Pharmacovigilance Programme of India, CDSCO, SGRD Centre of WHO since 2009. He is a Life member of Indian Pharmacological Society, Indian Medical Association, Indian Society of Cardiologists, Indian Society of Basic Research Scientists and Indian Palliative Care Foundation.

Dr. Meenakshi Gupta is an accomplished academician and medical educator with extensive experience in Pharmacology and medical education. She earned her MBBS from Government Medical College, Bellary, and MD in Pharmacology from Government Medical College, Amritsar. She is a CMCL-FAIMER Fellow (2006–2007) and has made significant contributions to curriculum development, faculty training, and institutional leadership.

She has authored over 26 publications in reputed national and international journals and serves as a panel reviewer for several scientific journals. Her academic leadership includes serving as Deputy Dean of Paramedical Courses, where she streamlined the curriculum and introduced the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). She has also been a member of the Institutional Ethical Committee at Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Amritsar.

Dr. Gupta has been recognized with prestigious honors including the National Mahila Rattan Gold Medal Award and the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award. She has actively contributed to medical education initiatives, serving as faculty in multiple Basic Course Workshops in Medical Education Technologies

She has organized and participated in numerous conferences, workshops, and scientific programs, notably serving as Organizing Secretary for the 5th Annual Conference of the Society of Biological Scientists of India (2015). She has also been invited as a judge and panelist at national-level academic events, including the NAMS Diabetic Symposium (2014).

A dedicated lifelong learner, Dr. Gupta has attended over 40 CMEs, workshops, and conferences, presenting papers and posters. She is a lifetime member of the Indian Pharmacological Society (IPS), Indian Society of Rational Pharmacotherapeutics (ISRPT), and the Indian Medical Association (IMA).

Dr. Jaswinder Singh completed his MBBS (1995) from GMC, Amritsar, and his MD (2001) in Pharmacology at GMC, Patiala.

He has worked on various posts at many institutes like Nepalgunj Medical College, Nepal, and Government Medical College, Chandigarh. Currently he is Professor of Department of Pharmacology at SGRD, Amritsar. He has more than 18 years of teaching experience in MD Pharmacology, MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses.

Dr Jaswinder is a member of Pharmacovigilance Committee and Pharmacy committee. He has published more than 28 articles in various National and International Journals. He is co-author of two books. He also serves as Editorial Board member of two Journals.

He is a life member of Indian Pharmacological Society, Indian Medical Association and Indian Society for Rational Pharmacotherapeutics. He is a founder member of Basic Medical Scientists Association.

He has keen interest in Rational Therapeutics.

Dr. Deepika Tikoo did MBBS (2000) from Government Medical College, Jammu and MD (2006) in Pharmacology from Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana. She joined SGRDIMSR in 2008 and is presently Professor of Pharmacology. 

She is currently the Deputy Registrar for academic research in the institution and is a member of the Institutional Ethics committee, Drug Research committee, Website committee, NABH and NAAC committee.

Dr Tikoo has attended various workshops and conferences and has been actively involved in organization of the same for the institution. She has been a resource faculty in various workshops on medical education in the institution.

She has 23 publications in various national and international journals. She is a life member of Indian Pharmacological Society and a member of AMEE.

Her areas of special interest include endocrine pharmacology and psychopharmacology.

Dr. Vikram Bhandari did his MBBS (2000) from Government Medical College Amritsar and completed his MD (2009) from Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences  in 2009, scoring an overall second position in the University .

He joined sgrduhs in 2009 and now serves as a Professor in the department of Pharmacology. He is a life member of Indian Pharmacological Society and has participated in numerous conferences and workshops. He has numerous poster/paper presentations to his credit. His work has been published in various national and international journals of repute. He has been an examiner and  paper setter for BFUHS and HNB Garhwal university.

Dr Bhandari has been instrumental in setting up an in house pharmacy at sgrduhs for indoor patients.

He has keen interest in Alternative medicine and Metabolic diseases.

Dr. Preet Sood did MBBS (1998) from GGS Medical College Faridkot and MD (2003) from Dayanand Medical College Ludhiana. She won a prize in IAP Pediatric Quiz during MBBS. Presently she is Professor of  Pharmacology in sgrduhs.

She participated in the APPI conference in Lucknow and presented a paper.  She also participated in the Ludhiana chapter of APPI symposium on thyroid and Pharmacogenomics workshop in JIPMER, Puducherry. She attended workshops on research methodology in Maulana Azad Medical College (2009), and on Pharmacoeconomics in National Institute of Pharmacoeconomics Studies (2013).  She also completed a certified course in NABH (2019) and certified diploma in dietetics.

She has 9 papers in indexed national and international journals.

Dr. Chetna Sharma completed her MBBS (2016) and MD (Pharmacology)(2021) from Government Medical College, Amritsar, under Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. She has been actively involved in medical education, clinical research, and pharmacology teaching.

She has served as a Senior Resident in the Department of Pharmacology at Government Medical College, Amritsar, and has also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot. She has extensive experience teaching undergraduate medical, dental, nursing, and allied health science students, along with mentoring postgraduate seminars and journal clubs.

Dr. Sharma is a life member of Indian Medical Association. Her research interests include Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacovigilance and Pational use of medicines.

She has published several research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals. Her work has been presented at various national scientific conferences through oral and poster presentations. She has successfully completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research

Dr. Sharma remains committed to excellence in medical education, research, and the promotion of rational and safe use of medicines.
