- Photo slit lamp with teaching module for documentation and academic demonstration
- Humphrey (Zeiss) automated perimeter for visual field analysis
- Non-contact tonometer (NIDEK) for intraocular pressure measurement
- Auto-refractometer and keratometer (TOPCON) for objective refraction and corneal assessment
- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) for anterior and posterior segment evaluation (NIDEK)
- Fundus camera (OIS Eye Scan) for retinal imaging and documentation
- Green laser (IRIDEX) for retinal photocoagulation procedures
- Hess screen for ocular motility assessment
- Indirect ophthalmoscope for peripheral retinal examination
- A-scan biometry (NIDEK), Optical Biometer (NIDEK) for intraocular lens power calculation
- B-scan ultrasonography for posterior segment evaluation in opaque media
- Dacryocystography for lacrimal system assessment
- Fluorescein angiography for retinal and choroidal vascular evaluation
- Pentacam for corneal pathologies
- Low Vision Aids
- Lensometer, Retinoscopy and LED charts for adult and paediatric refraction.
- Synoptophore
- Specular microscopy and pachymeter
These facilities support diagnosis and management of cataract, glaucoma, retinal disorders, corneal diseases, neuro-ophthalmic and oculoplastic conditions.
Operation Theatre (OT) Facilities
The department has a dedicated, modular ophthalmic operation theatre complex equipped with advanced technology to perform general and super-specialty ophthalmic surgeries. Facilities include:
- Modular operation theatre with HEPA filtration and laminar airflow system ensuring aseptic conditions
- Phacoemulsification systems (2 units – NIDEK CV 9000 with PROTEGE) for advanced cataract surgery
- Operating microscope (Möller-Wedel) with audiovisual display and recording facility for teaching and documentation
- Vitrectomy machine (Constellation) for vitreoretinal surgeries
- Fugo Plasma Knife for precision oculoplastic and glaucoma procedures
The operation theatre supports surgeries related to cataract, glaucoma, corneal transplantation, vitreoretinal disorders, oculoplasty, and orbital conditions.
Teaching and Learning Facilities
To support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training, the department provides:
- A departmental library with updated textbooks, reference books, and national and international journals
